Education:
- 1986: Ingénieur Chimiste de l’École Supérieure de Chimie Industrielle de Lyon
- 1990: PhD École Centrale de Lyon
- 1991-2006: Chargé de Recherche du CNRS au LISE
- Since 2006: Directeur de Recherche du CNRS au LISE
Areas of research:
- Study of electroactive films for the development of (bio)sensors or energy storage systems by coupled time-resolved electrogravimetric measurements
- Development of high-frequency acoustic transducers of the quartz microbalance type (HF-QCM) to characterize the electrochemical or biological interface
- Study of hybrid and composite ionic conductivity membranes for fuel cell development
- Development of electrochemical and gravimetric sensors to study calco-carbonic deposits in the natural environment
Tools and methods of investigation:
- Quartz microbalances coupled to electrochemistry (EQCM) with hydrodynamic control
- Electrochemical impedance coupled with fast quartz microbalance (ac-electrogravimetry or AC-EG or Electrogravimetric Impedance)
- Proton conductivity measuring device for membranes stabilized in climatic chambers (PEMFC application)
- QCM-D device with multi harmonics measurements
Teaching activities:
- Courses and tutorials at EFREI (École Française d’Électronique et d’Informatique), Villejuif
- Continuous training at SU focalised on electrochemical impedance, level 1 and 2
Responsabilities:
• President of the french electrochemical subdivision of the French Chemical Society 2016-2021
